Special Interest Groups

ELAS runs two regular Special Interest Groups and attendance is free to all members.

  • Schools Group
  • Special Educational  Needs/ Tribunal Users

These meet regularly to consider issues relating to their particular focus.

Other SIGs meet occasionally – such as

  • Post 16
  • Higher/Further Education

The next Schools Special Interest Group topic has been confirmed as School Autonomy and will chaired by Roger Inman, taking place on  Wednesday October 12th 2016 from 5.00pm- 6.30pm at the offices of Stone King with video links from their offices in Cambridge and Bath.

The format ELAS SIGs take is quite informal with all attendees encourage to participate. All ELAS SIGs are free to attend but open, only, to members. The meetings attract 1.5 hours accredited CPD hours from the Bar Standards and Law Society.
